The Safe Airway Society is excited to continue our workshop roadshow into 2026 with three brand new locations - Gosford NSW, Darwin NT and Christchurch NZ!

We will also be returning to the well-loved cities of Melbourne VIC and Hobart TAS.

Here you will find information about what these workshops offer, the schedule for 2026, registration links to each workshop location and access to the

pre-reading materials for registered attendees.

Three Workshop Stations Offered

Participants will rotate across three workshops over the course of the day.

Each station runs for 90-minutes and is facilitated by expert faculty.

ANZCA Emergency Response CICO recognition available.

A certificate of attendance is provided via email upon completion of the workshop.

Hyperangulated Videolaryngoscopy (HAVL) and
Video-Assisted Flexible Bronchoscopic Intubation (VAFI)

Two-part station learning the core skill of using a hyperangulated blade and the VAFI technique requiring proper planning and additional resources to set up for success.

Tracheostomy / Laryngectomy Emergencies

This station encompasses three low-fidelity simulation scenarios to practice a

team-based approach to managing a tracheostomy or laryngectomy emergency.

Gain exposure to the various equipment and tools required for this emergency situation.

Neck Rescue (CICO)

Learn the procedural skill of neck rescue to prepare yourself should an emergency front of neck airway situation arise. Then practice how this scenario could unfold within a

team-based, low-stress environment.

'Airway Ally' Workshop (Gosford only)

A 90-minute foundations workshop designed for airway assistants which runs through Cricoid Pressure (the why, what, how and when), introduction to the equipment and techniques for video-laryngoscopy and bronchoscopy and an overview of Neck Rescue equipment and techniques.

This is a great precursor to the main SAS workshop, offering exposure to the various pieces of equipment found within the workshop stations, as well as an opportunity to learn from and network with airway assistants from a variety of critical care disciplines.

Airway Ally workshop is only offered to those attending the main workshop day. Places limited. Registration cost separate to main workshop ($55.00 incl gst).
